Director of Epidemiology and RWE
Teva Pharmaceuticals

Shoshie Reshef is a Director of Epidemiology and Real World Evidence at Teva Pharmaceutical.

She earned her PhD in Epidemiology and an MPH from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She also has an MA in Logic and Political Philosophy from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Shoshie started her career as an epidemiologist when she was commissioned to perform a survey collecting real world data on barriers to cataract surgery among rural Kenyans in need of this type of treatment. She then worked at the Johns Hopkins Center for clinical trials, in the Department of Epidemiology performing both clinical and observational studies.

Later on, Shoshie had the opportunity to work at several large pharma companies covering multiple therapeutic areas including cardiovascular disease, neurology and cancer and designing and managing large observational studies. Alongside the growing significance and need of RWE, she has kept on top of epidemiologic methodologies currently utilized in real world data analysis, participated in relevant symposia and followed the regulatory developments on this topic. Within Teva she works hand in hand with clinical, medical, regulatory, commercial and HEOR teams using RWE to inform clinical trials design and implementation.

Shoshie’s RWE experience spans work in the US and internationally.
